Early detection is a crucial step in increasing the success of treatment and reducing mortality rates. One easy-to-do early detection method is Breast Self-Examination (BSE), which is an examination carried out independently, regularly, and systematically by every woman to find abnormalities or lumps in the breasts from an early stage. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to increase the understanding of mothers and young women about the importance of early detection of breast cancer through the BSE method. The activity was carried out in Pengaingan Hamlet, Bangkalan District, involving participants from among students of Madrasah Diniyah Al Munawaroh and local mothers. The methods used included interactive counseling, BSE demonstrations, and question and answer sessions. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge about breast cancer and their ability to perform BSE independently. It is hoped that this activity can encourage healthy living behavior and awareness of the importance of early detection as a preventive measure against breast cancer.
2025-08-08T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Nyna Puspita Ningrum, Desta Ayu Cahya Rosyida, Anik Latifah, Nina Hidayatunnikmahhttps://ije2.esc-id.org/index.php/home/article/view/221MARKETING TRANSFORMATION: THE DIGITALIZATION OF WOMEN’S HOME INDUSTRY IN SUNGAI SELAN, CENTRAL BANGKA2025-07-05T04:40:03+00:00Asyraf Suryadinasyraf.suryadin@stkipmbb.ac.idHaiyudi Haiyudihaiyudi@unmuhbabel.ac.idIsti Widiharjantiisti.widiharjanti@unmuhbabel.ac.idTania Nur Ulfiyantitanianurulfiyanti@gmail.com
The lack of understanding of digital marketing for home industry players is still a major obstacle in developing businesses in Sungai Selan Atas Village, Central Bangka. However, many SMEs lack the necessary knowledge and tools to manage their finances effectively, particularly through standardized and digital approaches. This community engagement initiative seeks to enhance the digital financial literacy of SMEs through a cross-border collaboration between State University of Jakarta (Indonesia) and University Malaysia Sabah. The program introduced a structured empowerment framework that integrates SME accounting standards—particularly Indonesia’s SAK EMKM—with financial technology applications to support accurate and timely financial reporting. The activities included virtual training and mentoring on financial literacy, the use of cloud-based accounting tools, and simplified financial reporting procedures. Evaluation results showed significant improvement in participants’ ability to record transactions, prepare basic financial statements, and use digital accounting tools independently. This project demonstrates that integrating localized SME standards with financial technology can strengthen SME resilience, promote innovation, and contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
2025-08-08T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Ayatullah Michael Musyaffi, Windy Permata Suyono, Choirul Anwar, Petrolis Nusa Perdana, Andrew Saw Tek Wei, Arief Kurniawanhttps://ije2.esc-id.org/index.php/home/article/view/224STRATEGY TO DEVELOP ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT IN THE DIGITAL ERA IN ULU LAPAO-PAO, WOLO DISTRICT, KOLAKA2025-08-13T08:58:36+00:00 Sasmita Nabila SyahrirSasmitanabila58@gmail.comNiar AgustinaSasmitanabila58@gmail.comNurhaisyah NurhaisyahSasmitanabila58@gmail.comNopi YulianaSasmitanabila58@gmail.comNovita TamrianySasmitanabila58@gmail.comNur Ica RahayuSasmitanabila58@gmail.comSelviranda SelvirandaSasmitanabila58@gmail.comRengka SyabainulSasmitanabila58@gmail.comRika MulianaSasmitanabila58@gmail.comMuhardi AlghazaliSasmitanabila58@gmail.comMuh. However, students undertaking these activities frequently encounter risks such as work accidents or health issues that can hinder their learning process. Therefore, protection from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Workers' Social Security Agency) is essential to guarantee their safety and well-being during these activities. Unfortunately, many students still lack a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and registration procedures for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Consequently, this webinar was organized to enhance awareness and provide further understanding of the importance of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan protection for students undergoing internships or practical work. This community service initiative was conducted via an online webinar in the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, specifically in April 2025. The activity, titled "Sosialisasi Pentingnya Perlindungan BPJS Ketenagakerjaan bagi Siswa dan Mahasiswa yang Melaksanakan Magang atau Praktik Kerja" (Socialization on the Importance of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Protection for Students and University Students Undertaking Internships or Practical Work), was held on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 14.00 - 16.00 WIB, via Zoom Meet. One hundred and five participants attended, including teachers, lecturers, HRD personnel from companies, university students, and high school students. Nutritional deficiencies begin during pregnancy and in the early postnatal period; however, the signs of stunting typically become apparent after the child reaches two years of age. Stunting has a significant impact on the quality of human resources. In the short term, it affects brain development, intelligence, physical growth, and metabolism. In the long term, it leads to decreased cognitive abilities, weakened immune function, increased risk of metabolic diseases, and learning difficulties. Stunting prevention is currently one of the government's main priorities. In addition to education about stunting, another preventive measure is the optimization of animal protein intake, such as through the consumption of mackerel. Mackerel is a locally available, highly nutritious fish. This community service program aims to raise public awareness about the importance of animal protein consumption in the prevention of stunting. With improved understanding, it is expected that communities will be able to meet daily protein needs, especially for infants and young children. To raise awareness and promote behavioral change in the community, particularly in fostering the habit of consuming animal-based protein as a strategy to prevent stunting. The intervention involved educational sessions about stunting, the introduction of the “Gemakan Kemuning” campaign an initiative promoting mackerel consumption to combat stunting, video demonstrations on mackerel-based food preparation, and the distribution of mackerel-based food products.

The activity was conducted on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at community health centre Kemuning 3, Bogor Regency, and was attended by 35 mothers with infants or toddlers. The program encompassed preparation, implementation, and evaluation phases. Educational content included definitions, causes, symptoms, impacts, prevention, and management of stunting. The program was successfully implemented. It is recommended that similar initiatives be continued and expanded by other healthcare professionals so that communities can better understand how to prevent and manage stunting, including by increasing their consumption of animal protein sources such as mackerel.
2025-08-08T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Triana Indrayani, Ajeng Ratna Wiranti, Syifa Ayu Aisya, Lusia Desy Septiyana Silalahi, Lioni Amelianti Putri, Sonia, Siti Mawaddah Minangkabauhttps://ije2.esc-id.org/index.php/home/article/view/229REPLICATION MIXED CROPPING SYSTEMS FOR URBAN LAND UTILIZATION IN SIDOARJO REGENCY, EAST JAVA2025-08-13T09:09:33+00:00Achmadi Susilosurjaningsih@uwks.ad.idMochamad Thohironsurjaningsih@uwks.ad.idDwie Retna Suryaningsihsurjaningsih@uwks.ad.idSukian Wilujengsurjaningsih@uwks.ad.idMuhammad Hasan Askari Sulthonisurjaningsih@uwks.ad.id
This community service program aims to replicate the mixed cropping system as an innovation in land use development in the urban area of Sidoarjo Regency, East Java. With high pressure on land availability due to urbanization, the productive use of yard land is crucial to support local food security and community well-being. The program was implemented from May to June 2025, involving 10 locations in several sub-districts with various combinations of fast-growing vegetables and horticultural crops. The activity approach included land identification, outreach, technical training, planting implementation, and intensive mentoring. The results showed a significant increase in land productivity and active community participation in intercropping land management. Mixed cropping has proven effective in increasing crop diversification while maintaining micro-ecosystem balance by reducing the use of chemical pesticides. Despite constraints such as limited water supply and maintenance time, efficient irrigation solutions and time management can be an alternative. This model has the potential to be replicated in other urban areas with similar characteristics and can serve as a reference for developing spatial planning policies based on local food security.
